The Southern Steel's Jamaican shooter Jhaniele Fowler continues to rewrite the record books to keep her side in with a chance of making the trans-Tasman netball playoffs.
The Steel beat the Canterbury Tactix 79-62 in Dunedin to move up to fifth in the standings.
Fowler shot 65 goals from 69 attempts to equal the most goals scored by an individual over the six years of the competition.
The Steel are fifth with 12 points, two behind the fourth placed Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic, who beat the bottom of the table Northern Mystics on Monday.
