John Plumtree's time in charge of the South African Super Rugby side the Sharks could be coming to an end.
South African media is reporting that former Springbok coach Nick Mallett has been approached to take over at the Durban franchise.
New Zealander Plumtree has been at the Sharks since 2006 and head coach since 2008, winning the Currie Cup in his first season in charge.
He has also guided the Durban-based franchise to another Currie Cup title in 2010 as well as both the Super Rugby and Currie Cup finals in 2012.
