The All Blacks captain Richie McCaw expects to return to the Crusaders for the playoff phase of the Super Rugby competition.
McCaw has taken time off from the game since the All Blacks' end of year tour to the northern hemisphere last year.
McCaw says he's been back training for six weeks, doing four runs sessions and four gym workouts a week, but is now keen to return to the field having got tired of pounding the pavements.
He says he'll join up with training with the Crusaders in a few weeks and plans on playing a game of club rugby in mid-July for his Christchurch club.
