All Blacks hold France scoreless

9:19 am on 16 June 2013

The All Blacks have held France scoreless for the first time in 53 encounters to win the second test 30-nil in Christchurch, and wrap up the series with a game to spare.

Ben Smith and Beuden Barrett scored two sensational counter attacking tries in the second half, after Julian Savea crossed the chalk in the first on the end of a rare grubber kick from Ma'a Nonu.

Coach Steve Hansen labeled the All Blacks' defence outstanding and praised the improvement in his team's tactical kicking.

The French coach Phillipe St Andre agreed the All Blacks' defence was formidable individually and collectively.

France's fly half Frederic Michalak suffered a severe shoulder injury in the match and is out of the rest of the tour.

The French number 8 Louis Picamoles has undergone scans for a back injury.

The third Test is in New Plymouth on Saturday.
