Ardie Savea has been named as one of the finalists for the IRB Junior Rugby Player of the Year award.
The Hurricanes loosie led the New Zealand under-20 side at the current Junior World Championship in France.
The other two finalists are the Wales first five Sam Davies and the England captain Jack Clifford, who will meet in the World Championship final.
The last New Zealander to win the title was Ardie's brother Julian in 2010.
