Horwill to face judiciary after alleged stamping

The Australian rugby team's woes have worsened with their captain, James Horwill, cited for stamping during their loss to the British and Irish Lions in the first test in Brisbane last night.

The lock will face a judiciary hearing in Melbourne tonight for allegedly trampling on his Lions counterpart, Alun Wyn Jones, in the 23-21 loss.

A ban for Horwill would create more disruption for the Wallabies coach, Robbie Deans, who is waiting on the results of scans for injured backs Christian Lealiifano, Berrick Barnes and Pat McCabe ahead of Saturday's must-win test in Melbourne.

The Lions have named centre Manu Tuilagi to return from injury in their midweek clash with the Melbourne Rebels on Tuesday.
