Dreadlocked Wimbledon qualifier Dustin Brown has no coach and used to travel to tennis tournaments in a camper van, but he's now enjoyed his greatest success at a grand slam by knocking out former champion Lleyton Hewitt.

The scalp of the veteran Australian is by far the biggest victory in any grand slam for the 28-year-old German of Jamaican ancestry, nicknamed "Dreddy" for his dreadlocks.

Brown is ranked 189 in the world but won 6-4 6-4 6-7 6-2 over Hewitt, who knocked out 11th-seeded Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka in the first round.
