Major shakeup for Scottish football

10:01 am on 29 June 2013

Scottish football is facing a major revamp following a decision to merge two of the three sport's governing bodies.

The Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football League, which oversees three lower leagues, are to become one body after officials met in Glasgow for 15 hours.

The league structure will remain a top flight of 12 and three lower divisions of 10.

There will be playoffs between the top and second tier league.
