The flamboyant Russian tennis player Marat Safin has arrived in Perth sporting bruises and cuts to his face.
Safin, who will team up with his sister Dinara Safina at the Hopman Cup, arrived looking the worse for ware, with bruising under his left eye and a cut above his right eye.
But it didn't stop the 28-year-old from attending the Hopman Cup Ball - albeit in shorts and a T-shirt with his racquet bag slung over his shoulder following a brief hit-up.
Safin is number 29 in the world rankings.
