Erakovic says she's got nothing to lose

The New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic says she'll take the same approach to her second round match with Elena Dementieva at the ASB Classic as she did last year when she knocked out another Russian top seed, Vera Zvonareva.

Dementieva showed her class yesterday, coming back from 1-5 down in the first set against Taiwan's Yung-Jan Chan to win 7-5 6-3.

And Erakovic says she'll have to play a "'whole lot better" today if she's to beat Dementieva - the highest ranked player to appear in Auckland.

The New Zealander says Dementieva hits a very good ball and even though Chan gave her a run for her money in the first set, the Russian stayed composed and is very professional.

Erakovic says Dementieva's serve is no longer a weak point in her game.
