The New Zealand cricket coach says he had no hesitation in restoring the original batting order picked for yesterday's washed out one dayer for Tuesday's series decider against the West Indies.

Eden Park debutant Martin Guptill used his elevation to opener, after initially being picked to bat at three, to blaze an unbeaten 122.

Jesse Ryder, dropped from yesterday's game, has been re-instated to open in Napier and Blackcaps coach Andy Moles says Guptill can still be effective down the order and do the same job.

He says the addition of Ryder will make the batting line up even stronger, as he is a match winner.
