Croatian tennis star Marin Cilic ended Indian wildcard Somdev Devvarman's dream run on home soil to win the ATP Chennai Open crown.
The lanky world number 27 beat the Devvarman 6-4 7-6 in a morale-boosting victory ahead of the season's first Grand Slam, the Australian Open, starting in Melbourne later this month.
20 year-old Cilic earned $US73,000 ($NZ 124,095) and 250 ATP points for winning his second career title.
