The Australian opener Phil Jaques has delayed his return to cricket by another week after experiencing discomfort in his back during a training session with NSW.
Jaques, who missed the entire Test summer after undergoing surgery for a bulging disc, was due to return to the crease in grade cricket on Saturday.
However the 29 year old batsman experienced a small amount of discomfort after training and has followed his surgeon's advice to allow an extra week for recovery.
