The Australian cyclist Allan Davis is the outright leader after winning the second stage of the Australian Tour Down Under.
The 28-year-old from Bundaberg thrived on the testing 145km second stage, outsprinting compatriot Graeme Brown and Martin Elmiger of Switzerland.
Davis says he's rapt with the win given his preparation leading up to the race.
Davis is now three seconds ahead of German Andre Greipel, who had the overall lead after winning the first stage.
Seven times Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong took the lead briefly before fading to finish 45th.
Todays third stage is a 136-km trip from Unley to Victor Harbour, south of Adelaide.
