The Otago cricket team has gone through to the final of the State Shield One day cricket series after a convincing win over Canterbury at QE2 park.

The Canterbury side totally capitulated only managing a paltry 86 runs after being bowled out in 39 overs.

Neil Wagner and Warren McSkimming took 3 wickets each.

The Otago Volts batters did it easily, making the required runs in the 14th over with 8 wickets to spare.

They will meet Northern Districts in the final on Saturday in Hamilton.
