Coutts excited about steering an America's Cup boat again

The three-time America's Cup winning skipper Russell Coutts is looking forward to his first race on a cup class yacht in years during the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series which starts today in Auckland.

Coutt's BMW Oracle is providing two of the four America's Cup boats which will be shared by 10 teams over the next fortnight, in a regatta jointly organised by Team New Zealand.

Coutts split with the Swiss Alinghi team before the 2007 Cup regatta and he's now chief executive of the American syndicate.

He says he's thrilled at getting behind the wheel again on the Waitemata Harbour.

Coutts's crew has a bye today. Their first race is tomorrow against Team New Zealand.
