7:14 pm on 2 February 2009

It could be a David and Goliath battle when the Superbowl gets underway in Tampa Florida at lunchtime New Zealand time.

The Arizona Cardinals will be looking to break the longest drought in North American sporting history when they make their appearance in the Superbowl for the first time in 61 years.

They face the Pittsburgh Steelers who has the youngest coach ever to feature in the games showpiece.

The Steelers is only one of five teams to have won five championships, while the Cardinals the oldest franchises in the league just reached its first Superbowl.

Arizona quarterback Kurt Warner brings some experience to the side having won the title with St Louis nine years ago.
