The New Zealand men's hockey team has drawn nil-all with Germany in their latest match at the Punjab Gold Cup in India.

The Black Sticks drew 2-2 with the Olympic champions in their opening match of the four-nation tournament.

The New Zealand keeper Kyle Pontifex was named man of the match after a number of great saves against the Germans.

New Zealand have two more matches against the Netherlands and hosts India, having lost to both of them in their first matches.
