The New Zealand rugby sevens team has been beaten 19-7 by South Africa in the quarter-finals of the San Diego leg of the IRB sevens series.
South Africa led 12-7 at half time.
The two sides clashed at the same stage in Wellington last week, and in another tight match it was the South Africans who came out on top this time.
South Africa lead the series by 4 points from England and New Zealand.
In the other quarter-finals still to come... Fiji play England, Samoa play Argentina and Kenya play the United States.
