The Israeli tennis player Andy Ram has been given "special permission" to take part in next week's Dubai men's tennis championship.
Ram, a doubles specialist, has been given the okay by the United Arabn Emirates foreign ministry, a week after Israel's top womens player Shahar Peer had to forfeit her place in the womens championship in Dubai when the UAE blocked her visa application.
Pressure had been mounting on the ATP tournament to be cancelled if Ram had also been denied entry.
