Monty overcomes pain

The temperatures are again expected to reach the mid-30's in Perth today for the second round of the Johnnie Walker Golf Classic, however the Scot Colin Montgomery appears to be coping with it okay.

Dutchman Robert-Jan Derksen leads at 8 under par, while 18-year old amateur Eddie Lee is the best placed New Zealand 3 strokes back in a tie for 7th the same position as Montgomery.

The European Ryder Cup captain says he always takes some pain killers with him onto the course....

The defending champion, Wellington's Mark Brown and the New Zealand number one David Smail both had 2-under par 70s, and they're tied for 44th.
