Internet failure halts Breakers ticket sales

For the second time this week the New Zealand Breakers have had their ticket sales for a play-off game in the Australian National Basketball League thwarted by an internet failure.

Sales were halted for most of Monday ahead of the quarter-final clash with Adelaide and another crash on Friday stopped sales for next Friday's semi-final home game against the Melbourne Tigers.

Breakers General Manager Richard Clarke says close to a quarter of the North Shore Events Centre's 4158 capacity sold during the first hour before another disappointing technology failure.

Clarke says Telstra Clear have advised they are working on the problem but are unsure of when it will be resolved.

He says supporters hoping to book tickets should keep tabs on the website and make their bookings as soon as the online service is operational again.
