Promising water polo player to ply trade in Australia

Leading New Zealand water polo player Joseph Kayes is set to play for the Freemantle Mariners in the Australian Water Polo League.

The former Mount Maunganui College student will set sail for Perth on Monday where he will be based for the next 11 weeks playing in the remaining rounds of the Australian Water Polo League.

The 18 year old is seen as in integral part of both the New Zealand Men's and Junior Men's programmes over the next year as the teams respectively build up for the World League and World Junior Mens Championships.
