Breakers coach laments lack of intensity

2:33 pm on 26 February 2009

The New Zealand Breakers coach Andrej Lemanis lamented his team's lack of intensity after their 117-99 drubbing at the hands of the defending champion Tigers in Wednesday night's opening game of their Australian National basketball League semi-finals in Melbourne.

Lemanis says the Tigers set the tone early and his team never recovered, trailing by as much as 25 points at one stage.

The Tigers were on fire, hitting 16 of 32 three-point shots, their best long range shooting of the season.

The Breakers are at home for game two in the best of three series on Friday night.
