The Black Caps skipper Dan Vettori says his bowlers are struggling against the Indian opener Virender Sehwag.
Rain quite likely saved the New Zealand cricketers from going two nil down in the one day series against India on Friday night in Wellington, with the Black Caps bowlers again having their hands full trying to contain the tourists.
Play was evenutally called off when India were 188 for four in the 29th over, with Sehwag bringing up his half century of just 32 balls only to be mistakenly given out caught behind on 54.
The Indians were again particularly severe on Kyle Mills and Ian O'Brien who both conceded around seven runs an over.
Vettori admits Sehwag in particular has simply put the bowlers off their game plan.
He says that's what destructive, creative players do, forcing bowlers to second guess themselves.
Game three in the five match series is in Christchurch on Sunday.
