The A-League football competition grand finalists Melbourne and Adelaide United have each been fined almost 13,000-dollar each for engaging in on field incidents during last month's season decider.
Football Federation Australia imposed the fines because players became embroiled in melees after Adelaide's Cristiano and Melbourne's Danny Allsopp were shown red cards.
On top of his red card, Cristiano was also fined 640 dollars for making comments about a matter that was still before the league's match review panel, as was teammate Eugene Galekovic.
Adelaide were also fined 1,280 dollars because they clocked up five red cards in the match, which the Victory won 1-0.
The FFA ruled Adelaide assistant coach Phil Stubbins had not breached the code of conduct in relation to statements he made towards referee Matthew Breeze at halftime.
