North Harbour and Nelson have scored wins in last night's action in the National Basketball League, with Harbour scoring an 89-87 win over Hawkes Bay in Napier and Nelson beating Saints 98-93 in Wellington.
Led by a stunning 38 point haul from rookie guard Corey Webster, North Harbour overturned a slow start and a fast finishing Hawkes Bay side to record their second straight win of the new season.
Meanwhile Nelson opened their season by starting strongly with an 11 point lead early against Saints and then held on with Jarryd Lloyd scoring 28 and Phil Jones 24.
