The New Zealand cricketers face a big loss in the first test against India in Hamilton,.

They'll start day four on 75 for 3 still trailing by 166 runs after India made 520, anchored by Sachin Tendulkar's 160.

The Black Caps began their second innings by losing Tim McIntosh in the first over before Martin Guptill and Daniel Flynn took the score to 68.

But two runs short of his first test 50 Guptill lofted a soft catch to Virender Sehwag at long off from the bowling of Harbhajan Singh.

That brought in Kyle Mills as night watchman -- and he was out lbw off the last ball of the day for 2, leaving Flynn on 20.
