The English rugby club Gloucester has beaten the EDF Energy Cup holders Ospreys 17-0 in Coventry to set up a Twickenham final against another Welsh club, Cardiff Blues.

Ospreys, who finished runners-up in 2007 and were Cup winners last year, went down to three Ryan Lamb penalties and a drop goal and a late Iain Balshaw try.

Cardiff will join Gloucester after stretching their unbeaten run in all competitions to five matches with a 11-5 victory over Northampton in the second of two matches at the Ricoh Arena.

A penalty from former All Black Ben Blair and a try from another former All Black, the halfback Jason Spice, gave Cardiff an 8-0 lead with Blair adding another penalty late in the second half, after Northampton's Joe Ansbro had scored an unconverted try.
