Formula One winners Brawn GP are making more than a third of their staff redundant.
Chief executive Nick Fry says about 270 jobs will be lost from the team which took over from Honda when Honda quit Formula One.
The Japanese manufacturer announced in December that it was pulling out as both a constructor and engine supplier due to the global financial crisis, leaving the entire workforce facing the loss of their jobs.
Fry says the job losses are very unfortunate but they're necessary because of the sport's change of technical regulations and because Brawn GP is a private team.
