The President of the International Olympic Committee, Dr Jacques Rogge says if the Winter Olympics are anything to go by, the early signs are positive that demand for tickets to the London Olympics in 2012 won't be adversely affected by the global financial crisis.

Dr Rogge, who's in Queenstown for the General Assembly of the Oceania National Olympic Committee, says the recent auction of the first round of tickets for the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver proved extremely popular, selling out within two days.
