The captain of the New Zealand women's cricket team Haidee Tiffin is retiring from the sport.

Tiffen made her White Ferns debut in 1999 and has played 117 one-dayers and two tests.

She was member of the 2000 New Zealand team that won the world cup and led the side to final of this year's tournament in Australia, when they lost to England.

This year's tournament also saw her achieve her highest score, an innings of 100 against Pakistan.
