New Zealand have lost their first wicket to be 34 for one just before lunch on day four, as they look to save the third cricket test against India in Wellington.

Tim McIntosh is the batsman out for four, caught by Rahul Dravid off the bowling of Zaheer Khan.

Dravid's catch gives him the record for most catches in tests by a fieldsman, surpassing the previous best of Mark Waugh who took 181.

Set 617 to win, which would be a world record successful run chase, the Black Caps are in reality simply trying to hold on for a draw.

India lead the series one nil.
