Late tee time on Masters opening day for Lee and defending champion

4:47 pm on 8 April 2009

The young New Zealand golfer Danny Lee has a long wait before teeing off in the opening round of The Masters on Friday morning in Augusta, Georgia.

The world's top amateur, 18 year old Lee is in the third to last group, teeing off just ahead of Tiger Woods at 1.41pm local time, along with the defending champion South African Trevor Immelman and Australia's Adam Scott.

Immelman is about to wind up a year he'll never forget, and after taking some time off at the start of this year, he feels he's ready to defend the green jacket.

The other New Zealander in the field of 96, Michael Campbell is at the other end of the draw, teeing off at 8.55 with a former champion Fuzzy Zoeller and another American Ken Duke.
