Britain has marked the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy in which 96 soccer fans were crushed to death died with a memorial service at Liverpool's Anfield stadium.
More than 20,000 fans sang the anthem "You'll Never Walk Alone" and a candle was lit for each of the victims in a tribute attended by former and current players and club officials.
Liverpool's goalkeeper at the time, Zimbabwean Bruce Grobelaar says he and his team-mates were asked to help counsel grieving families and to attend funerals, and the tragedy
left him considering his future in the game.
The tragedy happened before the Liverpool-Nottingham Forrest FA Cup semi-final in 1989.
