Brawn relief at FIA diffuser ruling

Ross Brawn has hailed the FIA verdict confirming the legality of the aerodynamic device used on the team's car which has kept Jenson Button on top of the Formula One drivers' championship.

The Brawn GP team principal says rejection of the Ferrari-led protest against the use of the rear diffuser confirms his belief their cars have always strictly complied with the 2009 Technical Regulations.

The controversial diffuser was also fitted to the cars of the Williams and Toyota teams and Toyota say they have always been confident of the outcome going in their favour.

Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali bemoaned the decision that now forces his team into a re-design of the car.
