New Zealand bounced back with a strong performance although Australia have taken a firm grip of the Southern Cross Cup international golf quadrangular at Wairakei International, near Taupo.
The hosts, beaten by defending champions Argentina yesterday, shared a 3-3 halved rubber against South Africa in the second round.
However Australia blitzed Argentina 5-1 and take on New Zealand in the deciding clash today. The New Zealand combination cannot win the tournament but could still spoil Australia's attempt on a fourth Southern Cross Cup victory.
