The Wellington golfer Mark Brown finished in a three-way tie for third after a strong final round at the China Open in Beijing.
Brown took the lead last night with an outward nine of 31 before a mid-round slump, and a late recovery to birdie three of his last four holes in a round of 69.
He finished two sots behind the Australian Scott Strange who added the Beijing title to last year's win at Celtic Manor in Wales.
The Spaniard Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano was second and Brown's share of third place was 195-thousand dollars.
