Magic coach says revenge talk is premature

The Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic remain unbeaten in the trans-Tasman netball championship after their unexpectedly emphatic 63-45 win over the defending champions, the New South Wales Swifts, in Hamilton.

It's the first time the Magic have beaten the Swifts.

However coach Noeline Taurua says it's too soon to be talking of revenge for last year's loss to them in the competition's first final.

The Magic and the Melbourne Vixens have six points, two clear of the Adelaide Thunderbirds and Southern Steel with the rest on two and the Central Pulse yet to win.

The West Coast Fever scored their first win of the season by downing the Mystics 57-46 in Perth in the night's late match.
