Waugh re-signs with Australian rugby through until world cup

The New South Wales Waratahs skipper and Australian international Phil Waugh's revealed he took a pay cut to re-sign with Australian Rugby Union until after the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

Shunning offers from Europe, Waugh has agreed to a new two-year deal that will keep him at the Sydney-based side for 12 successive Super rugby seasons and gives him the chance to reach the 100 Test caps landmark.

Waugh, who's 29, has played 77 Tests for the Wallabies after a 2000 debut against England, making him the 10th-most-capped Australian player.
