Cooper happy with selection concerns

Not only are they top of the table, but the Hurricanes coach Colin Cooper is in the fortunate position of having a reasonably healthy squad to choose from for Friday night's Super 14 rugby match against the Blues in Wellington.

After their emphatic win over the ACT Brumbies, the TAB has made the Hurricanes joint favourites with the Bulls to win the title.

Unlike the Blues, who have an extensive injury list, the Hurricanes just have a couple of players with minor concerns.

Cooper feels they can cope with that as competition for places this season has grown the squad....

There is a chance that Piri Weepu will get his first start at halfback this week with Willie Ripia showing good form at first five eighth.
