All Blacks ditch silver strip and return to white

The All Blacks have ditched their silver alternate stip, returning to all white.

The new strip will be used as a second strip when the All Blacks are playing outside New Zealand and there's a clash in jerseys.

It'll be worn for the first time against France in Marseille this November during the All Blacks' end of year tour.

The All Blacks will wear the white jersey with their traditional black shorts and black socks with white stripes.

The silver strip was controversial and had an aura of bad luck about it, the All Blacks wearing it in their failed bid to win the 2007 World Cup.

The new strip, along with the traditional black jersey, will also feature a fern pattern wash across the front of the jersey.
