Two of cricket's greats , Rohan Kanhai and Alec Bedser, have been formally inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame during the tea interval on day two of the first Test between England and the West Indies at Lord's.

Kanhai's 17-year Test career for the West Indies spanned from 1957 to 1974 and in that time he scored 6227 runs in 79 matches at an average of 47.53.

He scored 28 fifties and 15 centuries, including a magnificent 256 against India at Calcutta in 1958.

The Guyanan also had a successful county career with Warwickshire.

Bedser, 90, is the oldest surviving member of the Hall of Fame.

The right arm medium fast bowler began his first first-class career in 1939 and played for Surrey until 1960, when he retired after 485 matches.

But for the second World War he'd have played many more than his 51 Tests.

His first was at Lord's in 1946 and he took 236 wickets.

Among the other Hall of Famers capped so far this year is Sir Richard Hadlee.
