Robbie Deans calls in squash player to help train Wallabies

The Wallaby coach Robbie Deans has called in the top Australian squash player David Palmer to see how the Australian rugby team can use his rigorous training methods.

The pair were playing Squash in the Sydney Football Stadium Complex when Deans who plays A Grade says he realised many elements of Palmer's training regime and match play could be relevant to rugby.

Palmer is renowned on the men's tour for his stamina and fitness.

He's been known to complete the infamous 'beep test' five times in a row in training with just a three-minute rest between tests.

Deans says that's what the Wallabies need to learn to avoid second-half 'fadeouts'.
