The European Football Union has confirmed that Manchester United's Darren Fletcher and Barcelona's Eric Abidal and Daniel Alves will all miss Thursday's Champions league final in Rome as there were no grounds for overturning their suspensions.
UEFA has said in a statement saying the two clubs had failed to get their appeals in on time, but even if they had made the deadline they would have been rejected.
All three players will serve one-match bans during the final in Rome, although the clubs have three days in which to appeal.
