Leonard out with hamstring

Chiefs halfback Brendon Leonard is out of the Super 14 play-offs and also contention for the early season All Blacks tests

Leonard tore a hamstring in Friday night's win over the Brumbies and is out for up to six weeks.

The Chiefs have also lost first choice prop Ben May for the rest of the season with a knee injury but they're likely to have centre Richard Kahui back for Friday night's semi-final against the Hurricanes in Hamilton.

Meanwhile the Hurricances have no major injury worries but coach Colin Cooper says his players are a bit battered after their tough win over the Reds in Brisbane last night.
