The Spanish cyclist Pedro Horrillo Munoz, who fell down a ravine during the Giro d'Italia , is out of an induced coma and has moved his limbs.
The Rabobank rider crashed into a barrier during the eighth stage and fell some 60 metres. He had to be winched into a helicopter, which took him to a Bergamo hospital.
His condition remains serious, with broken bones and head trauma, but doctors hope he can make a full recovery.
