The two time Olympic champion Mark Todd has won his first international eventing competition in ten years, taking out the Houghton International Horse Trials in England.

Todd, riding Walk the Line, headed off British rider Chris King and 2007 winner William Fox-Pitt, to claim his first major title since the Burghley Horse Trials in 1999.

He led from the start but a clear final showjumping round was needed to take the title.

Todd only returned to competition last year having retired from the sport after the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
