Fiji grab second place in World Sevens with Edinburgh win

Fiji have beaten titleholders South Africa 20-19 in the Cup final of the last round of the rugby sevens World Series.

South Africa had already clinched the title, and Fiji's victory in Edinburgh moved them up to second place above England.

Earlier Fiji vanquished New Zealand 26-19 in the quarter-finals then Wales 28-14 to advance to the final.

New Zealand got past Kenya 26-21 in the Plate semi-final then beat Australia 34-12 to win the Plate final and finish fourth overall.

Third-placed England beat France 26-15 in the Bowl final.
