Plea for funding to keep archers on winning track

A member of New Zealand's first-ever gold medal winning team in the World Cup of archery has appealed for more funding so they can keep on improving.

The win in Turkey in their first ever international outing guarantees the team selection for the Commonwealth Games next year in India and they'll also compete in the World Championship final later this year.

After the win, team member Linda Lainchbury made a plea for further funding to gain more valuable experience ahead of the Games.

Lainchbury says if further funds were found they could compete at the remaining World Cup events before the final too.
